It all started when...
Dr. Itriago, our colorectal specialist, received his medical school education at the Universidad Central de Venezuela, School of Medicine in Caracas, Venezuela. He completed his internship and general surgery residency at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine where he was the recipient of The Charles Polivy, MD and the Robert Warren Painter, MD Awards for Excellence in Academics, Teaching and Clinical Care.
He went on to complete a minimally invasive colorectal fellowship at the Colorectal Clinic of Orlando, an affiliate of the Orlando Regional Medical Center/MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Board certified by the American Board of Surgery
Member of the American College of Surgeons and the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons
Certified in the use of the da Vinci robotic surgical system
Dr. Itriago’s particular areas of expertise include advanced laparoscopic and robotic procedures for colorectal cancer, diverticular disease and inflammatory bowel disease. He also specializes in the surgical treatment of anorectal pathology including hemorrhoids, anal fissures and fistulas.
