When Should I See a Colorectal Surgeon?
Here at the Colorectal Clinic of Tampa Bay, we always recommend that you begin a discussion about any concern with your general care practitioner. Your GP will be able to help you rule out other issues and get a specific diagnosis. This is incredibly important because our staff of doctors mostly specializes in colorectal issues.
Generally speaking, you’ll want to get a primary care doctor’s referral before you see a colorectal specialist. Or, if you are dissatisfied with your primary care doctor’s course of treatment but have already been diagnosed with a colorectal issue, you can get in touch with a specialist.
The bottom line is this: trust your body. If you feel like something is wrong, talk to a doctor – don’t let them brush you off. Here at the Colorectal Clinic of Tampa Bay, we want you to live a comfortable, healthy life! Contact Dr. In Soon Park and the team if you have any questions.
